Johnathon McDaris

Johnathon McDaris is a retired U.S. Army Sergeant First Class, Purple Heart recipient, and combat veteran whose life has been defined by service, leadership, faith, and family. During more than 15 years of service, Johnathon served with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), completing multiple combat deployments to Iraq and serving in leadership positions from Infantry Team Leader and Squad Leader to Platoon Sergeant and Army Recruiter. He also served as a U.S. Army Instructor at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, helping train and develop the next generation of Soldiers.

 

For Johnathon, Army service is also a family legacy. He is the son of a retired Army First Sergeant and Vietnam veteran and the grandson of a World War II veteran. Following in their footsteps, his connection to the Army extends far beyond his own uniform-it represents generations of service, sacrifice, and commitment to country.

 

Following his retirement from the Army, Johnathon earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Lindenwood University and continued his passion for developing and serving others through leadership, recruiting, and mentorship.

 

Johnathon remains deeply committed to the Army and veteran communities and to preserving the history, brotherhood, and bonds forged through military service. Above all, he is a proud husband and father whose commitment to God, family, country, and fellow Soldiers continues to guide his life.
